Players from Bexhill, West Ham and Brighton join the Hastings women's revolution

Izzy Foot is the latest player to join as the Hastings United Women’s side takes shape.

She is rated as one of the most promising young and talented female footballers in the area.

Foot comes to Hastings United from Bexhill United Ladies after winning two end-of-year awards in her first season and helping Bexhill win the Sussex Women’s Challenge Trophy in January.

Foot is an attacking player with an eye for goal and a dead-ball specialist.

Hastings’ ladies team are set to start out in the seventh tier of the female game whenever the season starts.

On joining the Us Foot said: “I am excited to be able to play for my hometown and i’ve always wanted to play at The Pilot Field.

“This season is already looking promising with the players already signed and I can’t wait to join them and put Hastings United Women’s team on the map.”

Amy Sinden, head coach, said: “Izzy is a young talented addition to our squad. Not only did she have a really great season but her attitude and determination to become a better footballer is key to us as coaches. All of us here at the Us are happy to welcome Izzy Foot to the club.”

Foot follows a number of other recruits for the women’s side.

They have also signed Sophie Reed, who can playy in defence or midfield, from West Ham.

She joined the Hammers in 2005 at the age of 11 represented the club at all levels, captaining the development team for two seasons and playing in the Women’s Premier League.

Her signing followed from that of former Brighton and Crystal Palace keeper Sophie Bridson.
