Hooe FC’s youth section held their end of season presentation, with the highlight the kids versus parents matches.

The club had four teams competing in the Rother Youth League, though next season this is increasing to seven, including a girls’ under-10s team. There will be more than 75 children at the club all enjoying playing football.

Hooe FC Youth is a FA Chartered Standard Club, which provides recognition the club is well run and sustainable, with child protection and safety paramount.

Tomorrow (June 5), Hooe are hoping to raise £1,000 for Breast Cancer Research with a 12-hour football match.

The under-sevens through to the senior side will all be taking part.

On Saturday, June 12 the youth section in conjuction with Play On Coaching are holding an open day for boys and girls aged between five and 13 to play some fun, free football at Hooe Recreation Ground, Mill Lane, between 9am and midday.

There will be football drills including fun warm-up games, lots of different activities and small-sided matches. Coaching will be from FA-qualified, DBS-checked coaches with bundles of experience in youth football. There is no need to book – please just turn up on the day, it is totally free.

Children will be offered free fruit and sweets throughout the day and there will be refreshments for parents and spectators.
