The weekend 2-0 loss to Chichester City was followed by a 3-1 reverse against East Grinstead Town in Sussex County Football League Division One last night (Tuesday).

Sam Schaaf did the damage with a hat-trick late in the first half and although Liam Upton pulled one back in the 90th minute, it was too little too late as far as Rye were concerned.

Rye have slipped to 12th in the table with 11 points from eight matches. They will be desperate to rediscover some form when Pagham visit The Salts on Saturday.
