Sussex under-18s bidding for FA County Youth Cup final place

The Sussex County FA representative side will be bidding for a place in the FA County Youth Cup final at Culver Road on Saturday.

They will be facing their Cheshire counter-parts in the semi-final of the prestigious county competition.

The under-18 squad will be made up of Ollie Gill, Sam Beard, Max Bickell, Joel Colbran, Rhyan Ramsey, Tom Summerfield (all Loxwood), Tom Caplin, Toby House, Keeley Johnson (all Burgess Hill Town), Jake Chadwick (Horsham), Niall Cheshire, Adam Lovatt (both Eastbourne Town) Charlie Coppola (Lewes), Kieran Deacon (Bognor Regis Town), Matt Hards, Henry Watson, Pat Webber (all Worthing), Dan Rose (Hastings United) and Alieu Secka (Peacehaven & Telscombe).

The match takes place on the 3G surface at the Sussex FA headquarters in Lancing with a 1pm kick-off.

Sussex governance manager Ashley Slaughter said: “We understand this clashes with many clubs who will be playing and will not be able to attend.

“However, we would encourage clubs without matches to come and support the boys, and use this as a team day out, especially for youth teams, who if 16 and under will receive free entry provided they are accompanied by sufficient adults (ratio of one adult to eight children).”

Entry is £3 for over-17s and £1 for concessions, with under-16s free.
