A big improvement will be needed when Hastings United travel to Guernsey today (Saturday), kick-off 7.45pm.

The U’s plunged to a hugely disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to Corinthian-Casuals on Monday, which manager Nigel Kane described as “a major setback”.

United will be desperate to rediscover some form in the Channel Islands, but it will be a tough ask because ninth-placed Guernsey have won all of their last four Ryman Division One South home fixtures.

Ade Olorunda is expected to return after missing the Casuals game and Richard Rose should be fit, but Sam Adams remains unavailable until the visit from Sittingbourne next weekend. Fraser Logan is still struggling with a back injury.

Elsewhere today, Westfield and Little Common are due to be in Macron Store Sussex County Football League Division Two action and a full programme of Macron East Sussex Football League action is scheduled, but rain is forecast for today on top of everything which has fallen in the past nine days. News of any postponements will follow.
