The club confirmed today (Wednesday) that Hare has filled the void left by the resignation of previous boss Garry Wilson at the end of the 2015/16 season.

Hare is a UEFA A-licensed coach and has built up a wealth of football experience. He was head of youth development at Gillingham FC for six years and has spent the last six years in various roles with the Gills, including academy manager and joint first team caretaker manager.

Hare also spent two years as assistant manager at Dover Athletic and some United supporters may remember him as a centre-forward in manager Peter Sillett’s squad of the early 1990s.

Hare is now finalising his staff appointments at The Pilot Field, although Dean White will continue as head coach within the club’s football academy and Glyn White will continue to manage the club’s development squad.

United finished seventh in Ryman Football League Division One South during the 2015/15 campaign - two points and two places outside the play-off spots.
