United to kick-off pre-season campaign

Hastings United will host a Brighton & Hove Albion XI tonight

The Brighton side is expected to be made up mainly of under-21 players, plus a few under-18s, and kick-off at The Pilot Field is 7.45pm.

Admission prices for United’s home friendly matches will be £6 for adults and £4 for concessions, with under-18s going free.

United manager Darren Hare plans to use around 22 players and says none of the first team squad will play any more than an hour, with most expected to get 45 minutes.

The match will provide supporters with a first opportunity to have a look at some of United’s new faces, who include defender/assistant manager Steve Watt, midfielders Wayne Wilson and Matt Bodkin, and striker Frannie Collin.
