Little Common player-manager Russell Eldridge felt his team just about deserved its 1-0 win at home to neighbours Westfield on Saturday.
Eldridge, 30, scored the only goal of a drab Sussex County Football League Division Two derby with an early penalty following a foul on Adam Smith. Common’s second successive league win moved them up to fourth, while Westfield are 11th.
