The Staplecross-based professional came 10th in the Citadelle Trophy International at Golf de Preisch in France with a two-under-par 72-hole total of 286.

Evans began the event last Thursday morning with back-to-back bogeys, and two birdies and two bogeys during the rest of the first round meant he signed for a two-over-par 74, putting him in a tie for 50th.

The 26-year-old shot up the leaderboard to tied seventh courtesy of the third best second round of the entire field. His 68 contained five birdies and a lone bogey.

Evans advanced slightly to tied fifth on the back of a steady third round 71 featuring a single birdie and 17 pars before a final round 73 on Sunday saw him slip back five places.

Evans hit straight back from his third bogey of the week on the par three second with a birdie on the third, but he lost ground with a double bogey on the ninth and a dropped shot on the 10th.

Three birdies in four holes from the 12th got Evans moving back in the right direction only for a bogey on the 17th to cost him a share of sixth. Evans lies eighth on the season-long order of merit going into the Open International Du Haut Poitou which starts this Friday.
