Jack Giddins clinched both his nett category prize and the overall nett award at the national final of the Lee Westwood Golf Tour.

Playing off a handicap of 14, Giddins carded a gross 80 at Gainsborough Golf Club for a nett 66 to claim the overall nett honours by a single shot and the category prize by two.

The 13-year-old received a new Ping driver for winning his category and has been invited to spend five days at the Lee Westwood School of Golf in Florida for the overall victory.

Giddins - the son of Beauport Park professional Charles Giddins - booked his place at the national finals by topping the area 11 order of merit.

A member of Beauport Park and Royal Eastbourne Golf Clubs, Giddins is part of the golf academy run between Beauport and Buckswood School.
