H&B call for support in play-off

H&B visit Kent League runners-up Ashford in a massive play-off game on Saturday April 26 with a place in London League Division Four the reward for the victors.

Hamilton said: "I certainly hope we get as many people as possible going. It really would help to get as many people who are interested in rugby in the area to come to Ashford Rugby Club and give us some support. I think the players would really appreciate it."

He went on: "This is undoubtedly the biggest game of the season. If we play as well as we can we can do it. I think it will be a big boost if the club gets promotion."

Several promising youngsters have forced their way into the reckoning but H&B are likely to plump for the older heads.

Craig Burgess (broken hand) is the sole injury absentee but Martin Sheppard is due to return from America on the morning of the game and so is likely to be named among the replacements. Nick Edmonds may be moved into the second row enabling both Roger Roberts and Andy Hitch to play. Ben Woolcott and John Fairey are vying for a place on the wing.
