Golf star Ben Evans achieved a lofty finish on the European Tour at the weekend.
The Staplecross-based professional came tied 12th in the Hero Indian Open with a two-under-par 72-hole total of 282 at Delhi GC.
Evans began the event on Thursday with a one-over-par round of 72 containing an eagle, two birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey.
He followed that with a one-under 70 on Friday to sit level par at the halfway stage. His second round included four birdies and three bogeys.
Evans, of Rye and Sedlescombe Golf Clubs, surged up the leaderboard courtesy of a three-under third round 68 on Saturday on a narrow, tree-lined course.
He got off to a flying start with his second eagle of the week on the par five first and despite bogeying the ninth, Evans finished with three birdies and a bogey in the last four holes.
The 28-year-old birdied the second on a windy final day yesterday (Sunday), but bogeys at the fourth and 12th meant he signed for a closing one-over 72.
Evans, who lies 465th on the Official World Golf Ranking, moves up to 137th on the season-long Race to Dubai standings and is in the field for the Joburg Open in South Africa, which starts on Thursday.
