Racing for URDT, Anya Tamplin continued her sparkling form to win among the female contingent with her time of 23min 26sec for 41st overall.

A minute behind was Anna Dwyer, 55th overall and second female. Fifth in 79th was Kate Parrish in 26:09, while Anna’s mother Kaye was 6th/89th in 31:21.

Kaye’s husband Nick was well ahead of the other male Wanderers in ninth in time of 21:20. Beating 23 minutes for the first time was Joe Benians in 24th with a new PB of 22:47.

Paul Fletcher, 39th in 23:24, got the better of Martin Stelling, 43rd with 23:32. Peter Baker took 58th in 24:38 while Dom Lowden was 62nd in 24:54. Michael Valks was 68th, Vince Busk in 71st and Dave Beale 85th.

Peter Baker rode in the Veteran Time Trials Association London & Home Counties National 10-mile Championship on the B4000 northwest of Newbury.

He placed 77th out of 126 in 23.58.

Baker and Sally Turner were among a dozen riders who started the Sussex Cyclists Association 15-mile event but a car crash meant the race had to be aborted.

In Blazing Saddles Hill Climb up Knight’s Hill overlooking Chichester Kate Parrish was second of 12 female entrants, 38th out of 59 overall, in 3.54.6.

In a recent report we wrongly said Anna Dwyer had not previously competed in the National 10-mile Championship. She had of course raced for the first time in 2019 when she finished 37th and matched her PB of 23.16.
