Sidley aim to settle old score

HORSHAM YMCA visit Gullivers on Saturday March 23 and they can expect a tougher Sidley United side than the team they beat in the John O'Hara League Cup semi final.

Sidley's joint manager Peter Heritage said: "I don't think they'll find it as easy this time as we've got a point to prove.

"They beat us on the back of a bad run and we reached rock bottom with that semi final defeat.

"We've pushed on from there and earned two creditable draws against Peacehaven and Southwick and a 5-0 thrashing of Arundel. We're now looking to go unbeaten for the rest of the season and I think we'll need to do that just to finish second."

The Gullivers pitch has suffered from the rain this week and United may ask YMCA if the match can be switched to Gorings Mead. Check the clubline for details on 01424 221126.

Sidley are also due to play Hassocks on Tuesday March 26.
