Sidley winner - but suffer injuries

SIDLEY United had a satisfying 1-0 victory over Three Bridges on Tuesday (October 9) evening.

Hard working Dave Carey created space and played in Peter Baker who scored his 12th goal of the season.

Bad news for for United was the loss of Paul Sully who had only just returned from injury and is now likely to be out for another month, but worse is captain Wayne Farrier will be out for a very long time after damaging his knee once more.

Joint manager Peter Heritage said they would not risk playing Farrier until he has had an operation, and that could mean he misses months of first team football.
