Sidley's last chance of promotion

SIDLEY need to beat Roffey on Saturday September 8 if they are to have any chance of promotion to the Sussex Premier League.

A costly defeat at bottom club Cuckfield in their previous game not only took their promotion chances out of their hands but also allowed Cuckfield to jump over neighbours Bexhill at the bottom of the table.

Steyning and Stirlands are now in the driving seat as they both have easy fixtures.

They should catch leaders St James who have completed their programme but Sidley can only draw level with them if they get a maximum points victory.

Bexhill play Preston Nomads and need a good result if they are to avoid the wooden spoon.

Sidley are without Intikahb Alam Jnr who will be training with Pakistan A and Ian Crittenden who announced his retirement from the club. Paul MacDonald returns from holiday.

Bexhill have another selection crisis with Jason Ridgeway out and doubts over the availability of Alan Cowley, Chris Deeprose, Neil Broughton and John Holland. Dave Munro returns.
