Strong finish from Sidley

SIDLEY United continued their bright finish to the Sussex County League football season by picking up four points over the busy Easter holiday.

A 75th-minute Graham Morris free kick gave the Blues a fine 1-0 win away to Pagham on Saturday.

This was followed by a 2-2 draw at Hailsham Town on Easter Monday. Sidley had to twice come from behind through Owen Ball and player-manager Peter Heritage who scored with a stunning 25-yard half volley which went in off the keeper after crashing down off the crossbar.

Sidley round off their season with a trip to Chichester City United on Saturday April 26.
