Classical glory from the Hastings Sinfonia

The Hastings Sinfonia will be performing on Saturday January 30 at 7.30pm at St John the Evangelist Church in St Leonards.

The group consists of amateur and professional musicians who meet twice a month throughout the year.

The conductor is Derek Carden who travels from London especially and the leader is professional violinist and teacher Peter Fields.

The concert will include many well known works such as: Mars from the Planet Suite by Gustav Holst, First Movement of the Second Piano Concerto by Rachmaninov, O Sole Mio by Eduardo di Capua, Chanson De Matin by Edward Elgar, Radetsky March by Johann Strauss, Waltz Of The Flowers from the Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky Gabriel’s Oboe by EnnioMorricone (Oboe: Gail Taylor) and The Waltz Duet from The Merry Widow by Franz Léhar.

Guest soloists include Howard Southern, Thomasin Trezise, and Gary Marriot.
