The beautiful grounds of Alexandra Park will play host to the annual Hastings Town and Country Show over a brand new weekend of June 6/7.
A spokesman for organisers Oakleigh Fairs said: “Now in its 7th year, we are really looking forward to returning to Alexandra Park over this new date in June so as not to clash with other fun summer events and the park is just the perfect setting for a family based event – just a stroll or a bike ride from the City Centre, with the stunning park itself providing a lovely backdrop to what will be, once again a super weekend, offering the chance for families to relax and enjoy a really good day-out.”
With something for everyone, from children’s entertainment with Devilstick Peat, working dogs with John Cavana, children’s farm, The Company of 1415 Medieval Mercenary Re-enactment Group as well as ferret racing, Newfoundland dog displays, Totally Terriers, birds of prey flying displays and on Sunday the Companion Dog Show (sponsored by Skinner’s Pet Foods) – so bring along a canine friend and have a go! (All proceeds from entries will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care). And if that’s not all – as well as stick furniture making, and pole latheing skills you can sample and buy in our arts, crafts and gifts marquees as well as lifestyle and food stalls.
So, whatever your interests there should be something for everyone at this popular two day event.
