Bexhill community choir Treble Clefs will soon be holding their Summer Spectacular.
This event will be at St Augustine’s Church, off Cooden Drive, and will start at 7.30pm on Saturday July 2.
The choir has gone “from strength to strength” under musical director, Keith Richardson, and takes pride in giving back to the community. Last year Cllr Stuart Earl was delighted to receive a cheque for Bexhill Caring Community, of which he is chairman. The choir’s chosen charity for 2016 is the St Michael’s Hospice Phoenix Appeal, and proceeds from ticket sales and the raffle will be presented on the night to Dr Paul Wright, ambassador for the trust.
Tickets are now available and can be bought from Westbrook Printers, 19 Sackville Road, Bexhill or by phone from Sue on 01323 371065 and Hilary on 01424 225888. Singing from ther wide repertoire of favourite tunes, the programme will focus on hits from musicals such as Les Miserables and Abba together with more traditional pieces.
Soprano soloist Lucy Ashton will be appearing along with Bexhill’s resident local poet – Claire Baldry. The choir’s accompanist, Andrew Daniels, who performs regularly at the Albert Hall, will be playing a piano solo. www.trebleclefs.co.uk
