Tennessee Williams’ classic at The Stables

Cat On A Hot Tin Roof
Cat On A Hot Tin Roof

A masterpiece of American drama opens tonight (Friday 26 June) at The Stables Theatre, performed by a cast who travelled all the way this week from the USA.

The Stables has a long-running exchange programme with The Drama Group of Chicago Heights, Illinois, whose members are returning to Hastings with a production of Tenessee Williams’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

Cat on A Hot Tin Roof is a classic study of a family in crisis, played out one hot summer night in the house of the Mississippi Delta’s richest cotton planter. Don’t miss this chance to see one of the great American plays, by one of the great American playwrights and performed by an American cast. There are only six performances so book early to avoid disappointment.

A Stables Theatre / Drama Group exchange production directed by MJ Renzi. Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June, then Wednesday 1 to Saturday 4 July at 7.30pm. Adults £12.50 • Members, under-18s and groups £7.50 • £2 off first-night tickets. Tickets available from the box office on 01424 423221.
