Police have arrested a 61-year-old man on suspicion of affray following an incident at a property in St Leonards this afternoon (Tuesday, November 17).

Hastings Police said officers were called to Cloudesley Road, St Leonards, after concerns for the safety of a man in a property there.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing affray after police responded to concerns for his safety in a property in Cloudesley Road, St Leonards, today (Tuesday 17 November).

“The 61-year-old man is now in custody and no one was harmed.”

Hastings Police thanked the public for their patience as officers worked to ‘resolve the incident’.
