When reading about the proposed kite-surfing school, I was taken aback to discover that the District Council had '˜put the shelter out to tender'.

Surely the shelter belongs to the people of Littlehampton as part of the seafront amenities?

It was probably there before the district council existed. What will they sell off next? The pier? The oyster pond?
