Eastbourne fundraisers Don and Abby McPhee are off to Buckingham Palace

The father-and-daughter team, Don and Abby McPhee, have received an official invitation to attend a garden party at palace.

They have been invited to recognise their fundraising efforts for the past nine years. They originally received the invitation in 2020 but this was postponed due to the Covid restrictions, whch have been in place for the last two years.

They have now been invited to attend in May this year.

Don and Abby raise money for Eastbourne charities and individuals by putting on fundraising events and calling on the support of local businesses.

Don said their fundraisisng would not have been possible without the support of these businesses.

He said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising.

“Special thanks to Bob Bremer at Sussex Cars, Visick Cars, Helix Law, Hepburns, Madeira, Stephen Rimmer and Plan Ahead.

“Many other local businesses have also supported us - far too many to mention. I would also like to thank everyone who has kindly performed at our events and attended them over the nine years.”

Don and Abby have many more events lined up for this year.
