Sickness bug closes hospital ward
A medical ward at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings has been closed following confirmed cases of norovirus.
Newington Ward was closed to new admissions on Thursday (April 23) after two people displayed symptoms of the highly-contagious bug, which causes vomiting and diarrhoea.
A spokesperson for the hospital said the ward would reopen 48 hours after the last person stops exhibiting symptoms of the bug.
