Thanks for protecting town

I would like to pay tribute to Anne-Marie Loader for her unstinting and dogged hard work in seeking to maintain the integrity of our historic buildings and our green open spaces in the town centre.

Whatever the outcome of this David and Goliath struggle over the redevelopment of Gullivers Bowls Club in Knole Road, Ms Loader has given up much her time, intellectual ability, and energy to ensure this planning application is conducted properly.

Surely any planning application should be judged not only on planning law but also on the benefit to the local community.

Without people like Ms Loader and her like (there are many others in this town), we would gradually see our environment irrevocably changed without our knowledge or consent.

Bexhill should not only applaud but be grateful to these people in our midst, who work silently for the benefit of our town.
