Cooden Millennium Townswomen's Guild

MRS FREDA Appleyard (our chairperson) told her usual amusing story after welcoming a good turn-out of members.

Business was then next on the agenda and future outings, Christmas lunch and our party were discussed.

Everyone enjoyed our outing to Paradise Park, so much to see and things to buy and many had spent more than they intended.

We were reminded we were off for a tour of Glyndebourne and lunch and Federation Day was then talked about when the life of our Queen would be highlighted by our local Guilds - each having a period in her lifetime; ours is one to eight years old, quite a task (see page 29).

After biscuits and tea we had several lively games of bingo where tokens were given to winners. A piece of glass competition voted on by putting pennies to pieces.

Sales did its usual business and the raffle was drawn.

A happy afternoon. We meet at the Community Centre, Little Common on the first Wednesday in the month, 2-4pm. Come and see what we do.
