Reggae gig from Fun Lovin’ Criminals stars

Two former members of world-famous Fun Lovin’ Criminals will be bringing their reggae project Radio Riddler live to The Fountain, in Queens Road, Hastings, on August 15.

Frank Benbini and Brian ‘Fast’ Leiser will (along with a band of top musicians) be performing reggae mash-ups featuring cover versions of many iconic songs as well as some of their own material.

Frank said: “We have been reggae fans all our lives. What we decided to do is remix big reggae acts, then started making our own reggae music.

“Whenever me and Fast take anything on stage it is always original. We are doing it for the love of the music. The audience can expect something quite special.”

They have remixed artists including Adele, Coldplay, Rihanna, Travie McCoy featuring Bruno Mars, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, Keri Hilson featuring Kanye West and Ne Yo, Run DMC, Roots Manuva, and Lily Allen.

Radio Riddler’s Marvin Reggae, an EP which features Marvin Gaye’s voice over reggae music has been downloaded more than 5,000 times.

Their debut full-length album Purple Reggae (all reggae versions of Prince’s Purple Rain).

“They converted into fantastic reggae songs,” Frank added.
