The Chichester Festival Theatre sits at the heart of the Chichester community. Here James Nield, from Close Brothers Asset Management explains why they are supporting this year’s festival by sponsoring a must-see performance

Their aim is simple - to inspire and delight everyone they meet. Built by the community for the community over six decades ago Chichester Festival Theatre is one of the country’s most loved and lively theatres.

When we at Close Brothers Asset Management opened our new office in the city last summer we were keen to show our commitment to, and connection with, the local community. We are delighted to be given the opportunity to support this year’s Festival.

We’ve long since admired the thought provoking works and collaborative environment that the theatre has built over the last 60 years and are excited to share our sponsored production - The Vortex – with our clients and their families during the forthcoming Festival.

As well as bringing world-class theatre to our city the Theatre plays a vital role in bringing people together - to learn, to sing or simply to chat over coffee – it provides a unique hub for wellbeing and enjoyment. We’re so pleased to be working with Development Manager, Charlotte Stroud and the fantastic Chichester Festival Theatre team, and to be supporting them in delivering their vision and mission.

Charlotte said: “We are thrilled to begin this exciting new partnership with Close Brothers Asset Management as sponsors of our opening Festival 2023 production, Noël Coward’s The Vortex.

“The generosity of our corporate supporters helps us to bring powerful stories to life on stage, inspires audiences across generations, and enables us to transform lives in our community through the work of our Learning, Education and Participation team. We are hugely grateful to Close Brothers Asset Management and look forward to working with them this year.”

Close Brothers Asset Management has a long established history of investing in the community and directly helping charities. Not only do we successfully invest on behalf of Chichester based charities, which enable them to fulfil their purpose having directly engaged with trustees, but we also support local charities and organisations by getting actively involved.

We are very much looking forward to Festival 2023 and hope to see you there!
