This Autumn, Wivelsfield Little Theatre present Over My Dead Body, a comedy by Derek Benfield.

Following the death of his wife Helen, Gerald hopes to spend the rest of his days comfortably alone with his memories.

Unfortunately for Gerald, not everyone agrees.

Soon he realises that even from beyond the grave, his wife’s ‘forward planning’ still remains as strong as ever.

It’s soon revealed that before her passing, Gerald’s wife made her sister Amanda and their housekeeper Carol promise to stay and help him for the rest of his life.

To top it all off, an old friend, Isobel, with whom he shares a secret from their past, pops in for a surprise visit.

After countless fiascos, plus sad and happy memories from the past, Gerald decides to band together with his daughter, Shirley, and son-in-law, Mark, to create a plan before things get out of hand.

‘Over My Dead Body’ will be performed in Wivelsfield Village Hall from Thursday, October 17, until Saturday, October 19, with curtain up at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £7 and can be obtained from Tuesday, 24th September, on 01444-471201.
