Thomas & Friends on the big screen

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Thomas the Tank Engine, cinemas in Chichester and Bognor Regis will be showing Thomas & Friends, a new film voiced by Eddie Redmayne, Sir John Hurt, Jamie Campbell Bower and Olivia Colman.

There will be screenings at the Bognor Regis Picturedrome on Friday, July 17; Saturday, July 18; Sunday. July 19: and Monday, July 20; and at Chichester Cineworld on Saturday, July 18; Sunday, July 19; Wednesday, July 22; and Thursday, July 23.

Spokesman Max Cocking said: “Thomas & Friends invites toddlers across the UK to cinemas this summer to see an exclusive film from everyone’s favourite blue engine, which includes voices from some of the UK’s biggest film stars.

“Eddie Redmayne, Olivia Colman and Sir John Hurt lend their voices to a legendary, must-see film about the triumph of friendship that is sure to keep all members of the family on the edge of their seats. The feature-length movie, Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure, sees the little blue engine and his friends embark on a spectacular new adventure scouring the Island of Sodor for lost treasure.

“In its biggest cinema release to date, celebrating the 70th anniversary of Thomas & Friends, the 60-minute film is the perfect event for toddlers this summer, offering a first cinema experience.”
