Bexhill Wetherspoon’s to reopen rooftop terrace next month
The rooftop terrace at Bexhill’s Picture Playhouse will be reopening next month, a spokesman for Wetherspoon has confirmed.
On April 12, pubs across the country will be able to open their gardens, serving customers sitting outdoors. Restaurants and pubs will be able to serve alcohol from this date.
A spokesman for Wetherspoon confirmed the Picture Playhouse, in Western Road, Bexhill, will be among the pubs reopening outdoor facilities next month.
As Bexhill’s outdoor space is a roof-top terrace, Wetherspoon confirmed customers will be able to enter the pub to gain access to the outside area and also to use the toilet.
Customers will be able to order and pay through the Wetherspoon app, however, staff will be able to take orders and payment at the table from those who don’t have the app.
The pub will not be operating a booking system.
Test and trace will be in operation and hand sanitisers will be available.
Wetherspoon chief executive John Hutson said: “We are looking forward to welcoming our customers and staff back to our pubs.”
