A Horsham pub is urging families to make the most of children’s time off school tomorrow (Wednesday) because of the national teachers’ strike.

The Red Deer in Horsham’s Carfax is offering free children’s meals tomorrow (February 1) while schools are closed because of the strike.

It says people can enjoy some ‘unexpected family time.’

In a social media notice, the pub says: “This Wednesday 1st February … School is out for a day and Kids Eat Free is back!

"Come and enjoy some tasty, home-cooked food without the fuss. Book a table with us and enjoy some unexpected family time with your little ones.”

The pub says that customers can receive one kids’ meal for each adult who orders two courses and that the offer is available until 6pm.

Members of the NEU at a number of Horsham schools are expected to strike tomorrow. They include several primary schools and Tanbridge House School, which will remain partially open for Year 11 pupils.
