Nick was a key figure on the American blues trail, rediscovering the likes of Son House and Skip James.

Having played his 1935 National Steel Duolian for many years, Roger now plays an electric resonator guitar of his own design, known as ‘The Hub’ as well as a steel resonator mandolin given to him by the AMI company in Munich.

Roger’s playing has attracted much critical acclaim, including this from the legendary Muddy Waters, who was quoted in Sounds Magazine as saying: “Roger Hubbard is as good as any blues guitarist in the UK or the United States.”

His song Home Lovin’ Man was recorded by US blues man Eric Bibb on his 2003 album Natural Light.

Tickets are £6 for members, (membership is only £4) and further details can be found at www.mrsyarringtons.me.uk or call 07794 821454.
