Am-Dram society seeks new recruits

BEXHILL Amateur Theatrical Society (BATS) celebrates its 75th Anniversary this year and they need you!

In the same year that the De La Warr Pavilion first opened it's doors, BATS began its career, and its members have regularly trod the boards at the Pavilion and other venues ever since.

Apart from regular indoor theatrical performances, the popular local am dram company also present an annual, magical Shakespearean open air performance in Bexhill Manor Gardens.

In order to achieve effective casting of upcoming plays, BATS is looking to increase its acting membership.

Chair of the society, Dorothy Webb, said they welcome anyone who is interested in the theatre, either joining as an actor or for any one of a number of behind the scenes roles.

Dorothy said: " We are looking for people keen to direct and others to work behind the scenes. In fact we need new blood in all areas of the Society. We are a friendly group of people and anyone interested in joining us would be sure of a warm welcome, whatevertheir level of expertise."
