BALCOMBE SCHOOL CHRISTMAS FAIR: The festive season kicks off on Saturday 1 December at the Balcombe School Christmas Fair, with food, games and a chance to meet Santa from 12-2 pm. There will be delicious refreshments including sausage and bacon rolls, cakes, mulled wine and mince pies. All are welcome to join us and raise much-needed funds for our lovely village school. We are also holding our all-natural wreath making workshop on Wednesday 12 December - £15 per wreath, including a drink and nibbles to help the evening along. RUBBISH FREIGHTER: one freighter will be available in the village on Sunday 2 December from 10.00 - 12.00 noon in the Victory Hall Car Park. It will take domestic rubbish and some garden waste too.

The village CHRISTMAS TREE: will be going up on Sunday 2 December to remind us all that the Carols Around the Tree event is on Saturday 15 December from 5.00 pm for the early visits to Santa and singing at 6.00 pm.

MARY’S CHURCH: Sunday 2 December FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT 8.00 am Holy Communion, 10am FAMILY CHRISTINGLE SERVICE - The Posada starts its journey – Mary and Joseph stay each night in different homes, arriving at the Crib Service on Christmas Eve. 6pm ADVENT CAROL SERVICE – a service of readings and music as we prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ.
