Bexhill Farmers' Market

Fresh and local food - that's what the Farmers' Market has to offer.

The next one will be held at Parkhurst Hall on Thursday from 9-12am and as ever there will be a variety of produce from growers and suppliers in our area.

Organiser Councillor Stuart Wood reckons a particular draw will be the smoked meat and fish of V.J.Game.

"There is the most gorgeous ham - better than any other," he said.

"They have their own smokery and do fish, meat, wild boar and venison - it is a really popular stallholder, quite a specialist attraction."

Cllr Wood is worried about the future of the Farmer's Market and warns shoppers they must use it or lose it.

"I am always concerned and I am always having problems. I don't want to lose it because it is nice having the market in the town and we do have our customers that regularly come."
