Secondhand Books: National Trust needs your books for the Secondhand Book Shop at the Castle, income from the shop will go to projects at the castle. For more information call 01580 830436.

Bodiam Vicar: The Vicar of Bodiam is Gordon, please phone him on 01580 830268 with any questions about Baptisms, Weddings or other matters. Gordon has a day off on a Wednesday and has a good lay down and reads the Rye/Battle Observer and the Church Times and in the afternoon he goes out fro a nice cream tea, if he has any money.

Planned Walk: If you see the Northiam Footpath or would like to walk with them, on the 15th July they will do a 9 mile walk leaving Northiam Surgery car park at 9.30 am for a 10 am start from Hawkhurst Church the Moor. There is a planned pub/picnic/tearooms lunch at Bodiam. For further information contact Sue on 01797 253428.

Parish Council: the next meeting will be on the 20th July at 7pm, in the Parish Room.The Chairman was happy that one member of the public attended the last meeting for a little time, it would be good to see more, you will be most welcome.

Post Office: As the village does not have a Post Office and so might go to the one in Hawkhurst which is in Budgens of Hawkhurst, Rye Road, it is open Mon to Sat 7 am -10 pm, Sun 10am - 4 pm.

Waste Dumping: It is sad to see that dumping of garden waste has taken place in the layby at the Primary School. This is not the first time, so do keep your eyes open and if you have any information phone 01424 787000 and phone the Police.
