FRIDAY: Yoga is being held in Udimore Community Hall at 9.30am. Brede Farmers Market is from 10am to noon in Brede Village Hall. It was bursting with items for sale last Friday and the plants in the car park were colourful, it is followed in the evening at 7.30pm by Short mat Bowls.

The Rainbow Trout Comedy Night. Is this evening and if you would like to go along please let them know as soon as possible. Ten tickets are remaining for those that have not got theirs yet. 3 new comedians and a good laugh guaranteed. Starts at 8pm. Tickets £15.

SATURDAY: Calling all Mr Swing fans. As you know, Mr Swing has retired and is moving away from the area. He has chosen to hold his going away party at the Rainbow Trout this evening at 7.30pm. He has asked them to extend the invite to those that have supported him and enjoyed his music to come along and enjoy the party with him and his family. There will be live music and even a few tunes from the man himself!

MONDAY: Age UK East Sussex Brede Community Club. The Club opens today from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Today there is the News, dominoes, and hangman. Later there will be musical entertainment with Ian for the group to enjoy. The Guiding section meet in the small hall of Brede Village Hall; the Rainbows meet from 4.15pm to 5.15pm, they welcome girls aged between 5 to 7 years, Julie Piper can be contacted on 01424 883464 or mobile 07863599537. TUESDAY: Pilates at 9.15am in Udimore Community Hall. Followed by another session at 10.15am in Broad Oak Methodist Church the Knitters and Natters meet at 10.30am. They would be pleased to welcome you to share in knitting or do your own craft.

The Brede Luncheon Group Christmas Lunch today at 12.30pm in Brede Village Hall. Later at 7.30pm Brede Parish Council meet in the small hall, please go along and support your councillors and hear the latest news concerning our Parish.

THURSDAY: November 26, Pilates 9.30am with another session at 7.30pm both in Udimore Community Hall. Stretch and Tone with Sally in Brede Village Hall at 9.30am. The Doctors Surgery is open at 12 noon in Brede Village Hall, small hall.

FRIDAY: November 27, Yoga is being held in Udimore Community Hall at 9.30am. Brede Farmers Market is from 10am to noon in Brede Village Hall followed at 7.30pm by Short mat Bowls. The Rainbow Trout’s Girls Night Inn. They are holding their Girls Night Inn in the Restaurant. The restaurant will be decorated ready for the Christmas parties and a cocktail stall will be set up. Get a group of girls together and come along for a few drinks, a catch up and get some Christmas present ideas to boot. So far we have stalls from: My Time Clothing (Great for some Christmas Party Outfits), The Body Shop, Ann Summers Underwear (Yes really), Handmade Candles, Buttercup crafts, Christmas Cakes, and more. All stalls are held by local ladies so let’s give them some support. Entry is free. Boys – Don’t feel left out – Come along and get some present ideas for that special lady in your life. All the stalls are held by small local businesses and so far they have stalls from The Body Shop, My Time Clothing, Ann Summers, Buttercup Crafts, Gift Wrapped Christmas Puds, Handmade Candles and Jewellery, Christmas Cakes, Cocktails and more.

Thursday December 3, The Cranbrook Town Band will be at the Village Hall at 7.45pm for 8pm. They give a lively concert including a few carols to join in with and it is all in aid of the Poppy Appeal so do go and enjoy this event. Payment is on the door £5.00 incredibly good value for money.

Friday December 4, in the afternoon at 3.30pm or just after all preschool and primary school children from Broad Oak, Beckley, Peamarsh and Udimore are invited to go with their parents to look at the Christmas Tree display in all its glory and to have refreshments. There will be stalls open and a raffle all in St George’s Brede.

There is also a Festive Fun Quiz and light supper in the Parish Room at 7pm. Please contact Sue Orchard 01424 883322 to book your teams place (up to six per table) Take your own beverage.

Saturday December 4, The Christmas Tree Festival – the theme this year is Colours of Christmas and will be very colourful and interesting. There will also be stalls selling a variety of goodies a tombola, a raffle and a cake stall. Mulled wine and a mince pie or two.

In Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm the last ever Village Dance will take place unless a new person comes forward to do the music as Paul is retiring after raising about £19,000 over the years that it has been going; mainly benefiting St Michael’s Hospice, a wonderful effort from all involved. If you are able to supply dance music for Ballroom, Latin, and Sequence please let me know ASAP.

Brede Bellringers are having a lighted Tree outside the Church please contact Andrew Burchett he says that if you would like to donate £1 in memory of a loved one or for a special occasion then a light will be lit for you. You can contact him at Brede Farmers Market or at his home the address is in the November Parish Magazine. The Tree will be up before December 5 and proceeds are split between the Church and the Christmas floodlights, which makes the Church look wonderful.

New Year’s Eve the Rainbow Trout have a Disco booked and nibbles and snacks on the bar. Entry this year is free but they are not reserving tables so arrive early if you would like to grab yourself a seat.

LAST NOTE: If anyone has decorations that they do not want any more and are suitable for the Village Hall please contact me as Maggie, Beryl and I will be decorating the Tree in the Hall on Saturday November 21 and the rest of the building on November 28.
