Brede village voice

To organise a weekend of events for the Jubilee is one thing but to organise delivery of a new baby for the same weekend is something else, but this is in fact what happened when Bruni Llovet, one of the main organisers of the events here at Brede, gave birth to a baby girl last Saturday and both are doing well.

It was a pity that the weather decided to let the side down and hopefully it didn’t spoil things too much. One very successful evening was at the Village Hall where a full house celebrated the Jubilee with an excellent evening of some very varied entertainment ranging from community and solo singing, monologues, short sketches and a hearty ‘Proms’ finish and I also believe that there was a good crowd at the Red Lion on Sunday evening for the traditional pub sing-song.

At the time of writing there are still some events to come, but our thanks must go to everyone who has played some part, be it large or small, in helping to make last weekend a time to be remembered for a long while.
