Now in it's fourth year, the international one-minute film festival, which promotes and awards the best one-minute films from around the world, runs throughout the month of September both on-line and on a variety of other media.

A spokesperson for Filminute said they are "looking forward to their best year yet", and the festival has generated a fantastic response from film-makers and audiences worldwide.

Filminute 2008 generated submissions from sixty countries, viewership from ninety four countries and more than three million viewings of the short-listed films. Twenty five short-listed films were subjected to both a public vote and review by a respected international jury made up of luminaries from the film, arts, literature and advertising industries, including Oscar-winning screenwriter and director Paul Haggis.

The deadline for entries is August 20th 2009.
