Call to shape Rustington’s future is made

VILLAGERS in Rustington are being called upon to help shape the future of their community.

On Monday (April 21), Rustington will begin its six-week consultation on its draft neighbourhood plan.

The document will outline the proposals to help develop the village in the coming years.

Once agreed and approved, this plan will then go to a yes/no referendum which will ultimately decide whether the scheme is approved or not.

The draft plan will be available to view on the Rustington Parish Council’s website, at www.rustingtonpc.org and hard copies can be obtained from the Village Information Centre, at Churchill car park, Rustington Museum, in The Street and the parish council offices in Woodlands Avenue.

Reference copies are also available at the village library in Claigmar Road.

The consultation period will end on June 1.

Comments about the proposals should be submitted before this date.
