Campaigners win fight for village to stay where it is
ASHINGTON is celebrating the news that it will not be moved from Chanctonbury into north Horsham under changes proposed by the Boundary Commission for county electoral divisions.
If it had gone ahead it would have meant that Ashington would have been linked with Billingshurst instead of nearby Storrington and Washington.
The news came when the Boundary Commission published its final recommendations on Friday.
