Cancer Research UK collectors outside B&Q
Cancer Research UK volunteers braved miserable weather conditions to fundraise outside B&Q at Ravenside.
They raised 211.44 on Saturday and 171.39 on Sunday which was a good effort according a local committee spokesman who said: "It was cold - very cold. On Saturday we were there from 9-4pm and on Sunday we were only there 10-3pm. But it all helps...B&Q has allocated us there three times this year. We were not asking people for money, we have to just stand there, but passers-by give, as well as those going in and out of B&Q."
