"Carelessly discarded" cigarette caused Littlehampton flat fire
A FIRE in a warden-controlled flat was caused by a cigarette.
Fire crews from Littlehampton and East Preston were called to St Catherine's Court, Littlehampton at 10.05pm last night (Wednesday October 29).
A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said that the small fire, in the lounge of a first-floor flat, was out when they arrived.
