Chemical leak at Littlehampton Co-Op
FIREFIGHTERS were called to the Co-Op in Wick Street, Littlehampton, after fumes were smelled coming from an equipment room.
The Littlehampton crew were called out at 9.30am yesterday (Tuesday, December 7) and discovered a small refridgerant leak in a compressor unit.
Staff and shoppers were evacuated and a fan used to ventilate the building after the leak and all the compressor units were sealed.
It was back to business as usual by 11am.
