Christmas trees light up for festival

Christmas trees will light up Climping church next month.

Dozens of the illuminated festive symbols will brighten St Mary's Church in Church Lane for its latest festival devoted to the trees.

The event takes place on December 7, 8 and 9. Opening times will be 10am to 6pm on the first day, 10am to 4.30pm on the second and 2pm to 6pm on the final day. Entry is 2.50 adults with children admitted free.

On December 7, the church school choir will perform at 2pm followed by a 7.45pm concert by the Worthing Salvation Army Band '“ tickets 5 from 01243 583655.

The Saturday will see the Great Ballard School Choir perform at noon and a Christingle service at 5pm.

Sunday features an 11am parish communion service. A Christmas Tree Cafe will be open during the festival.

All profits from the festival will be shared between the Salvation Army and St Mary's Church Fabric Fund.
