Christmas wish for paw old man

POOR Sandy the Labrador could be "bone alone" for Christmas if a new owner doesn't come forward.

The trouble is that his owner has died and, well, Sandy himself at the age of 12 and a half is getting on a bit even though he's good for his age.

Lesley Martin of the Labrador Rescue charity is currently providing a foster home in Hastings Road for Sandy, who was previously in kennels for six months with no one coming forward to provide him with a home.

"He is a very loving dog and just needs an older couple to look after him. For his age he is very sprightly," she said.

Sandy sleeps a lot of the time, doesn't need a lot of exercise, is very good in the car and would really like a large garden to mooch about in.

And loving as he is towards humans, Sandy doesn't get on with other dogs or cats!
