Crowds warm to chilled tunes

The 4th Big Green Cardigan happened over the last weekend which from the opening songs of local singer Hazel Philimore on Friday to the closing tunes of Logan Wilson on Sunday the festival fulfilled its goal of a chilled relaxed festival.

Blessed with fine weather again, and a full campsite, hundreds of music lovers heard everything from Lavendore Rogue Rolling Stones esg rock and roll to Ricky Adelaide 12 piece Swing band having the place dancing at 11.30 on Sunday morning, quite a feat after the late-night session of local award winner King Size Slim completely acoustic set, the highlight for many.

During the weekend fans travelled the music highlights from Sika didgeredoo soudscaping to the intimaticty of Jazz Morley’s beautiful songs to Roving Crows rollicking celtic rock and closing the main stage on Sunday Eduardo Niebla spellbinding flamenco performance generating a standing ovation.

Once again,the Big Green Cardigan promised diversity and quality in a chilled relaxed atmosphere and once again delivered and is rapidly becoming the not to be missed event.
