East Preston FootballClub led the quiz from the first round.

However, a ‘nail-biting’ five point swing in the final round meant the reigning champions, Oddballs, retained the title by a narrow margin of two points.

The team finished with a total score of 80 and will next year hold the event again.

Angmering Tennis Club came third with 71 points.

The winning team from the Oddballs Golf Society was made up of Brian Quinn, Mick Curson, Danny Shah, Celene Curson and sponsor Graham Street, from Streets Ahead.

The raffle organised on the day raised £119 and winning team Oddballs donated their £45 prize money together with profits from the bar.

A total of £200 was raised and this will go towards the purchase and installation of two bicycle shelters for the village.

The fifth Question of Sports quiz will take place on May 30 next year.
